Ferrari has approved the appearance of the first crossover, which is still known under the internal factory index 175. As Ferrari chief engineer Michael Leiters told Autocar, the new model is radically different from all SUVs presented in the segment at the moment.

  • Externally, the Ferrari crossover will resemble a coupe, and the body length will be about five meters. The model will receive a four-seater cabin layout, and the equipment will include a suspension with adjustable ground clearance.
  • The Ferrari SUV will be built on a modular platform Purosangue (in Italian "purebred"), which assumes a transaxle layout - the location of the engine in the front, and the robotized gearbox - in the back. Later, a successor to the GTC4 Lusso model will be built on this platform.
  • The Purosangue architecture provides for the installation of V6, V8 and V12 engines, as well as a hybrid, partially borrowed from the 1000-horsepower Ferrari SF90 Stradale supercar. What kind of motors will be offered to the SUV is still unknown.

  • The official premiere of the first Ferrari crossover is scheduled for 2022. In total, the company will present 15 new models by 2023.
