In connection with Ford's withdrawal from the Russian passenger car market, the Ford Sollers joint venture will pay compensation to dealers. Those who have continued their partnership with the manufacturer as an authorized service or seller of commercial models of the brand will be able to count on them, Vedomosti reports.
Dealers who sell LCVs and service the Ford model range will receive from the joint venture an average of up to 1 million rubles each. Partners who continue cooperation only as authorized services will be paid from 1 to 3 million rubles. This money will be used to reimburse the expenses for the branding of the salons (signs, furniture, and so on).
According to the Association of European Businesses (AEB), in August dealers improved the results of sales of commercial Ford: 5.3 thousand cars and plus 26% to last year's result. Sales of passenger cars are almost complete - less than 500 cars were purchased (minus 85%). Nevertheless, they are still in demand in the secondary market. According to Avto.ru, Ford Focus is in the top three of the most popular used cars: 12.4 thousand units were registered in August.
