Video: Tesla Has Re-invented The Windshield Wipers

Tesl has proposed a completely new design of wipers that do not have a rigid attachment and move from one windshield pillar to another, effectively cleaning the entire surface.
This will eliminate the main drawback of wipers, which has been preserved since their very invention: they rotate relative to the attachment point, so the cleaning zone turns out to be semicircular, and there are areas on the sides of the glass that the wipers cannot reach.

In order to capture the entire surface of the glass, the new wiper will follow special guides under the influence of a magnetic field: in fact, as in a conventional electric motor. Only if the rotor rotates in the engine under the influence of a magnetic field, then in the Tesl version the motion will be reciprocating.
The company believes that such a solution will help to clean the windshield in the best way and much more efficiently in terms of energy costs. True, so far the question remains open of what to do with the adherence of the wipers to the windshield, whether this will cause too strong friction losses and how the guides themselves will be protected from debris and bad weather.
