If the front-wheel drive Veloster N TCR has a petrol "turbo four" with a capacity of 350 horsepower, then for the electric version the layout was completely changed: the only electric motor is on the rear axle, which implies rear-wheel drive. Information about the capacity is not disclosed.
- A portable charging station has been developed for charging a racing electric car. It consists of two fuel cell kits from Hyundai's production NEXO hydrogen crossover. Their combined power of 160 kW allows you to simultaneously energize two fully discharged Veloster N ETCRs in about 45 minutes.
- After its premiere at the auto show, the electric Veloster will be sent to life testing to get the racing hatchback ready for the first season of the ETCR championship, starting in 2020.
