Compared to the regular i30 N Performance, the Project C is 50 kilograms lighter. Twenty-two of them were thrown off by installing 19-inch forged OZ Racing wheels. The hatchback hood has lost another 7.5 kilos: now it is made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). Replacing the sill plates with parts from the same material brought about a kilogram of gain in weight. And the rear diffuser (also carbon fiber) saved 386 grams.
- The suspension received aluminum components and began to weigh 4.66 kg less, and the hatchback's ground clearance was reduced by 6 mm. The center of gravity also dropped with it.
- The i30 N Project C has lightweight sports seats (each 7.5 kg lighter) with advanced lateral support.
- The two-liter turbo engine has not received an increase and still develops 275 hp, and the gearbox is only a six-speed "mechanics". In this case, the version of Project C will be limited. Hyundai said that it will produce only 600 cars, and Europe will become the market for the new product. Sales start until the end of 2019.
