The electric vehicle is about the size of a Mercedes-Benz S-Class and is built on the new modular platform ME (Modular Electric Architecture). It has an aluminum body, and the power plant consists of two electric motors (one per axle) and a 90 kWh battery pack located in the passenger compartment floor.
Power is 476 horsepower, and acceleration to hundreds takes 4.5 seconds. The range on a single charge reaches an impressive 700 kilometers. It takes only 20 minutes for an electric car to charge from zero to 80%.
The EQS has very sophisticated optics: headlights called Digital Light are assembled on holographic lenses, the grille between the headlights also glows, 940 LEDs are built into it. Instead of the rear lights - a panel with 229 diode light sources, made in the form of a three-pointed star.
The interior of the Mercedes-Benz EQS is trimmed with a special microfiber fabric sourced from recycled plastic bottles and an imitation leather structure similar to Nappa leather. The ceiling is lined with fabric made from debris collected from the ocean.
