The head of the city of Derbent Khizri Abakarov met with the management of the Dagdizel plant and asked to develop an electric car that will be used in the city for tourist purposes. This is reported by "Derbentskie".
- Electric cars are planned to be used in the historical part of the city to transport tourists to the main attractions. This, according to local authorities, will avoid a large congestion of tourist buses - special intercepting parking will be created for them.
- Nothing is known about the technical characteristics of the electric vehicle. The head of Derbent hopes that the novelty will be compact, safe and can easily maneuver on narrow city streets.
- Abakarov stressed that the first electric car should appear in Derbent in May 2020. At the initial stage of its production, parts of other Russian enterprises will be used, and later Dagdizel itself will start producing components for cars.
The Dagdizel plant develops and manufactures marine diesel and gas engines, as well as door locks, beaters, dough mixing and cinder block machines, cultivators and wheel supports.
