Video: Seat Showed Its First Electric Crossover

Seat has unveiled the Tavascan concept electric crossover, which will be the next model of the Cupra sub-brand. The show car is named after a ski resort located near the French border in Catalonia.

-
The CuprTavascan gets a ravenous look with a large grille and illuminated logo, coupe profile, 22-inch wheels and retractable door handles.
The interior of the concept is made of leather, carbon fiber and Alcantara. The dashboard houses a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13-inch infotainment screen that can be slid towards the passenger side. The audio system speakers are integrated into the seats.
- CuprTavascan is based on a modular architecture for MEB electric vehicles, the same as that of the Audi Q4 e-tron and SkodVision iV concepts. All three crossovers are united by the same power plant - two electric motors with a total capacity of 306 hp, which are located one on each axle. The Tavascan should take less than 6.5 seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h - 6.3 seconds for the Q4 e-tron, and 5.9 seconds for the Vision iV.
- The new concept has a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery located under the floor. It has a capacity of 77 kWh and provides a power reserve of up to 450 kilometers on a single charge. With the same range, the Audi Q4 e-tron is equipped with an 82 kWh battery, and the SkodVision iV with an 83 kWh battery can travel an additional 50 kilometers without recharging.
-
The CuprTavascan electric concept will be shown live at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 10. Nothing is said about the serial prospects of the model, although soplatform crossovers from Audi and Skod will go into production in 2020.
