Video: Volkswagen Hints At Arteon Station Wagon

In one of the local press releases from Volkswagen, dedicated to the reconstruction of the plant in Emden, Germany, a new model is mentioned, called the Shootingbrake. Usually, the term Shooting brake refers to station wagons with a sloping roofline, so it is possible that we are talking about a new modification of the Arteon liftback. This was reported by the Motor1 edition.

-
The plant in Emden will be modernized by 2022, with the construction of new workshops for the assembly of electric vehicles on the MEB platform. In the same place, "Arteon, Passat sedan and Shootingbrake" will be produced for several more years. Later, the production of models is planned to be transferred to the Skod plant in the Czech Kvasiny.
- The Volkswagen Arteon liftback, which replaced the Passat CC sedan, debuted in 2017. It is maximally unified with the current Passat and is offered in Europe with two-liter "turbo-fours": two petrol (190 and 272 hp) and two diesel (190 and 240 hp).
- When the premiere of the Volkswagen Arteon station wagon will take place is unknown. In the meantime, it is worth waiting for the appearance of a standard liftback in Russia: recently the Russian office announced that the model will go on sale in 2020.
