Nissan unveiled a concept SUV in Geneva called the IMq - and it appears to be the harbinger of the next generation Nissan Qashqai.

-
The crossover design was developed in the London studio of the brand. The IMq is slightly more than 4.5 meters long, has prototype rear hinged doors and four separate seats in the cabin. Among the features - "smart" tires, which are able to independently assess their own wear, pressure, and grip parameters. All this information is transmitted to the stabilization system, the settings of which are constantly changing according to the condition of the tires and road surface.
- The crossover is driven by an e-Power hybrid powertrain, which includes two electric motors with a total power of 340 hp, as well as a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine, acting as a generator.
- In addition, the IMq is equipped with an Invisible-to-Visible system. This is an augmented reality system that communicates with the outside world and projects the necessary information in front of the driver and passengers in real time. For example, the system constantly monitors traffic jams and allows the driver to "peek" around corners, preventing collisions in blind turns or allowing early avoidance of a congestion or unexpected obstacle.
- IMq is a purebred concept. However, many of its features are expected to be inherited by the next generation of the Qashqai crossover. It will be presented next year, and in the range of modifications, in addition to gasoline and diesel engines, a hybrid version will appear.
