Video: Kia Builds 21-monitor Concept To Troll Other Brands

At the Geneva Motor Show, Ki showed a kind of prototype called Imagine by Kia, which does not belong to any of the existing segments and is literally jam-packed with monitors.

The most unusual feature of the concept is row of twenty one monitorsthat covers the entire front panel in waves. This installation has no special functional purpose - moreover, it was added for the sake of a joke. The company says that in this way they amicably tease other automakers who are competing who have more monitors in their cars. Nevertheless, these monitors display all the necessary information about the trip and the settings of the on-board systems, and they are located so that the image is read without problems.

Outwardly, the prototype looks like a typical coupe-like crossover, but the company claims that in fact it does not belong to any of the existing classes. It has a high sill line, a smoothly sloping roof, not a crossover ground clearance at all and very large - 22 inch - rims with Goodyear tires 255/35.
- The body is painted in six layers of paint with a chrome sheen, and the top is tinted with a bronze film. The signature design element called "Tiger Smile" received a new interpretation on the prototype: a line of LED head optics was made in the shape of this smile. The taillights, as conceived by the designers, should remind of KiStinger.
-
Optics play an important role in the positioning of the prototype: with its help, the car greets the driver with illumination, inviting him to start the trip. In general, Imagine by Ki was created as the most driver-friendly concept. It is intended to arouse interest in communicating with electric cars and neutralize skepticism about electric power plants, which are often criticized for "soullessness".
-
At the same time, the company does not provide detailed technical characteristics, limiting itself only to the statement that this is the first all-electric four-door passenger car of the brand.
- It is not yet known whether any of the Imagine by Ki design solutions will appear on the production models. The car itself is positioned as a "message" of the brand's designers and their vision of how interesting cars of the future should look like.
