Video: Bugatti Has Unveiled The World's Most Expensive New Car. And It Has Already Been Purchased
Bugatti has unveiled a unique hypercar called the LVoiture Noire in Geneva. The car was created in a single copy by order of one of the brand's clients.
The unique model is based on the Chiron hypercar, but its carbon body was created in the style of the famous Type 57SC Atlantic model of the thirties of the last century. The name itself refers to this: the LVoiture Noire is one of only four Type 57SC Atlantic produced by Jean Bugatti, the creator of this model and the son of the company's founder Ettore Bugatti.
The most obvious reference to the classic Atlantic in terms of design is the thin "bead" that runs exactly in the center of the body from the bonnet, through the windshield and roof. At the stern are sophisticated LED optics that extend across the entire width of the body.
The LVoiture Noire, like the Chiron, is powered by an eight-liter W16 that produces 1500 h.p. and 1600 Nm of torque … The engine "exhales" through as many as six exhaust pipes.
The cost of the car is incredible 11 million euros excluding taxes - Bugatti claims that this is the most expensive new car of all time, although Rolls-Royce Sweptail and Pagani ZondHP Barchetta can compete for this title, which cost customers about the same amount.
The name of the customer of the unique Bugatti has not been disclosed. However, there are rumors that the car was made to order. Ferdinand Piha, the former head of the Volkswagen concern.
The original Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic was released in only four copies. Today, this model is one of the most expensive on the market of automobile classics: according to unofficial data, one of the two surviving copies a few years ago was sold for the amount $ 30 to $ 40 million.
