Video: Italdesign Wants Its Luxury Coupe To Be Produced By Someone Else

New images of the DaVinci concept from Italdesign have appeared on the Internet. The company will not launch the car in a series, but will offer to do it to other manufacturers.
DaVinci is big (almost five meters) a coupe of the Gran Turismo class with a seating arrangement of 2 + 2. It has huge doors that span both rows of seats and open upward in a gull-wing pattern.
The most unusual feature in the interior is the buttons on the center console, which are hidden under the Alcantara along with the light indicators: it turns out that the entire front panel is taken into a single piece of expensive finish. In addition, DaVinci has a digital instrument cluster, the front passenger has a separate narrow display built into the glove compartment, and auxiliary functions and vehicle settings can be controlled via a touchpad mounted on the center console.
DaVinci will not go into the series - at least not yet. According to Autocar, Italdesign is considering offering the production of the car to third-party companies. The company says that even the body design was developed in such a way that it would fit into the corporate style of a number of brands with minimal adjustments. For this reason, no specific information on the technical characteristics is given: the design of DaVinci is designed for both traditional internal combustion engines and for electric power plants.
The most conservative option for a car is four-liter V8 mated to an all-wheel drive transmission … The all-electric version features electric motors on the front and rear axles and a battery pack housed in the floor.
Italdesign DaVinci will be shown live at the Geneva Motor Show.
