
Video: Seat Showed Its First Electric Car. And This Is Not A Crossover




Seat has released images of the new model, which will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.
The new Seat is an almost serial electric hatchback based on Volkswagen ID units. el-Born in honor of one of the districts of Barcelona. As previously announced by the Seat designer, the concept car is 97 percent similar to the future production model: there are ordinary doors with natural grip handles, serial rear-view mirrors, lighting equipment and so on.
Even the interior of the electric car looks completely serial. Instead of a console between the front seats, where the gearbox selector is usually located, there is a large niche, and the mode selector itself has moved behind the steering wheel on the right side.

The electric motor on the rear axle develops 204 horsepower and is powered by a 62 kilowatt-hour battery pack.

The declared cruising range is 420 kilometers on the WLTP cycle, and acceleration to hundreds takes 7.5 seconds.
- The prototype will be shown on March 5 at the Geneva Motor Show. The serial model should appear before the end of 2019.
