The Exterior Of The New Geely On The Volvo Platform Has Been Declassified

The first image of the future new Geely crossover, so far known under the in-plant designation KX11, has been published. As the Autohome edition clarifies, it will be built on the current modular architecture of Volvo (as well as the Tugella cross-coupe), and the premiere of the new item will take place in the first half of 2021.

• The spy photo appears to have been taken in the interior of the new crossover. It depicts the screen of the on-board multimedia system, on which, in turn, a 3D model of the Geely KX11 is visible.

• The exterior of the SUV will be a continuation of the ideas embodied in the Geely Preface sedan. The novelty will receive a massive radiator grille with vertical slats (the Chinese press calls it a "waterfall"), narrow rectangular optics, reminiscent of the headlights of older Volvo crossovers, and a somewhat angular silhouette.
• Judging by the previously published photos of the test prototype, the KX11 will be larger than the Tugella, and its main difference will be a traditional five-door body without a hint of coupe. The novelty is based on the modular architecture of the CMA, on which a number of models are already being produced under the brands Geely, Volvo, Polestar and Lynk & Co. The main power unit for the crossover is supposed to be a two-liter "turbo four" with a capacity of 190 hp. paired with a seven-speed "robot".
• The official debut of the new Geely SUV may take place in the first half of this year. The prospects for the appearance of the KX11 model in foreign markets are still unknown. The next premiere of the brand in our country may be an updated version of the Atlas crossover. The Atlas Pro model will be offered with an uncontested 177-horsepower turbo engine.
