New Mercedes-AMG C-Class Station Wagon: First Spy Photos

The Motor1 edition has published spy shots showing the prototype of the future charged Mercedes-AMG C-class station wagon for the first time. Despite the abundance of camouflage film, some details can be seen.

• Apparently, before us is not the "older" version of the C63, but the less productive C43 or C53. Moderately swollen wheel arches and twin round tailpipes indicate this. The top station wagon is expected to have diamond-shaped tailpipes, just like the outgoing generation car.
• The exterior of the standard C-class has been shown in previous shots, where the model appears to be barely camouflaged. In the AMG version, the familiar details are supplemented by a bumper with large air intakes and a Panamerican radiator grille with vertical ribs. Enlarged brakes are hidden behind the five-spoke wheel discs.
• The charged C-class will be equipped with turbocharged two-liter "fours" from the Mercedes-AMG A-class. On hot hatches, this engine produces a maximum of 421 hp. and 500 Nm. An electric superstructure for 30-50 forces will be prepared for the C-class.
• The current C-class from AMG is presented in versions C43, C63 and C63 S. The first is equipped with a six-cylinder engine with a capacity of 390 hp, the other two - with 4.0 V8 engines of 476 and 510 forces, respectively.

• The premiere of the new generation of the C-class is expected in late 2020 or early next year, the AMG version in the second half of 2021. It is known that the design of the novelty will be in the style of the flagship S-class sedan, and a vertical touch screen will appear in the interior of the model.
