The American company Apter presented the serial version of its electric car of the same name. It's a tricycle that in theory could never be charged thanks to solar panels on the roof and front end. According to the developers, in clear weather, these panels replenish the range of more than 72 kilometers during the day.

The two-seater model has a composite body. Its weight, depending on the configuration, is 816–998 kilograms, and the drag coefficient is only 0.13 (this is about half that of an average car).
- The power plant of the base (front-wheel drive) version develops 134 hp. with a 25 kW battery. The power reserve of such a tricycle reaches approximately 400 kilometers. In the most expensive modification, the Apter is equipped with a 100 kWh battery and electric motors with a total output of 201 hp. (drive - full). In this case, the electric car is capable of more than 1600 kilometers without recharging.
- There are also 40- and 60-kilowatt versions of the tricycle with a power reserve of about 640 and 960 kilometers, respectively. In addition, three exterior colors (black, silver and white), three trim options and a set of options with driver assistance systems and an off-road kit are available to buyers.
- Prices for Apter will start at 25.9 thousand dollars (1.9 million rubles), the cost of top-end options will exceed 46.9 thousand (almost 3.5 million rubles). The first commercial copies will be released in 2021.
- The company presented the prototype of the tricycle back in 2007 - then the model was planned to be equipped with a hybrid power plant or completely electric. In 2011, the company went bankrupt, but subsequently resumed operations. The prototype of the current electric car was presented in 2019, at the same time a maximum power reserve of over 1,600 kilometers was promised.
