Video: BMW X5, X6, X7 Cars Were Recalled In Russia - They May Lose Control

BMW has recalled 216 cars in Russia due to a possible defect in the suspension, Rosstandart reported. The problem was identified in the current generation X5, X6 and X7 crossovers that rolled off the assembly line between August and October 2020.

- An error in welding the bracket of the rubber-metal hinge of the suspension rod led to its incorrect fixation. During driving, this can lead to its complete separation. As a result, the car will be uncontrollable, which is likely to lead to an accident.
- Dealers are instructed to check the front subframe serial number. If it is listed as defective, it will be replaced with a new one. All work will be performed free of charge for the owners.
- Car owners can wait for notification from dealers by letter or phone. Also, a list of VIN codes of recalled cars is attached to the Rosstandart message. You can also check the car for participation in recall campaigns on Automotive.ru.

Earlier in October, BMW recalled nine of its models and one Mini with hybrid powertrains. The manufacturer was concerned about the likelihood of a short circuit and subsequent fire. Almost 27 thousand vehicles were included in the campaign. The problem turned out to be on the conscience of the battery supplier. Hybrid BMWs and Mini are not sold in Russia.
