Drag Truck Battle: Mercedes-Benz Actros Vs. Scania R500

YouTube channel Carwow ran one of the slowest straight races in its history. Trucks Mercedes-Benz Actros and ScaniR500 took part in a series of races.

• The Mercedes-Benz Actros is powered by a 480 horsepower 10.7-liter six-cylinder engine. The 13-liter ScaniR500 engine is 20 hp more powerful. Each truck has 6 wheels with a drive on one axle. The bloggers conducted two races without trailers and one with a trailer, which increased the weight of the two cars to 39.916 tons.
• Each of the three runs with the Scani straight truck won. Only the degree of Mercedes' lagging changed: in the first and third heats he was behind by several buildings, and in the second race he lacked a couple of meters to win.
• In addition to drag races, Carwow also tested the braking distances of both models. Braking was carried out from 80 km / h and this time the Actros was the best.

• Earlier, the hot-hatch Mercedes-AMG A45 was put up in drag against the Audi RS6 Avant. In three races (two accelerations and one braking), the station wagon did not leave the A 45 a single chance to win.
