  • The Bolide weighs about the same as the Hyundai Solaris at just 1,240 kilograms and has a weight-to-power ratio of just 0.67 kilograms per horsepower.

  • The eight-liter W16 in preparation for Bolide was thoroughly redesigned: the engine received lightweight intake and exhaust systems, new turbochargers. Develops 1850 hp engine. (1361 kW) and 1850 Nm of torque. The powertrain is said to be significantly lighter than the one used on the Chiron.
  • Thanks to the super-powerful motor, the maximum speed of the novelty, according to the calculations of the developers, reaches 500 km / h - this makes the Bolide faster than the record-breaking Chiron Super Sport 300+, although it does not reach the recent SSC Tuatara.
  • However, the main advantage of Bolide, according to the intention of the creators, is different: it may turn out to be the fastest hypercar on the planet on the most famous race tracks. The estimated time to overcome the iconic Nurburgring for the novelty is 5 minutes and 23.1 seconds, while the official current record held by the Porsche 919 Evo is only 4 seconds less. And on the Le Mans track, Bolide is able to outstrip the current record holder ToyotTS050 by 8 seconds at once. At the same time, the record races themselves have not yet been reported.

  • On the set of the first 100 km / h, the novelty, according to the calculations of engineers, will spend 2.17 seconds, accelerate to 200 km / h in 4.36 seconds, gain 300 km / h in 7.37 seconds, and accelerate to a maximum of 500 km / h, followed by braking will take the Bugatti Bolide just 33.62 seconds.
  • The Bolide measures 993 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2743 mm. Other specs have yet to be announced, but the Bolide is already noticeably lower than the standard Chiron, and its wheelbase is 50mm longer.

    • The aerodynamic tail of the hypercar is based on formula technology: for example, the wing generates more than 1800 kilograms of downforce at a speed of 320 km / h. The roof air intake is capable of transforming depending on the speed. It is argued that such a solution was applied for the first time in the world and turned out to be effective: it reduces the drag coefficient by 10%, and the lifting force by 17% at once.

    • The minimalist interior is equipped with two carbon "buckets", which are separated by a massive carbon fiber tunnel, a steering wheel with many buttons, a compact digital panel and "inflow" center console with push-button transmission control. The cabin can comfortably accommodate people up to 2 meters tall, while the pedal assembly is made adjustable.

    • The design of the hypercar uses a special carbon fiber modeled on that used in the space industry, ultra-strong steels, titanium and polycarbonate. All wheels are made of magnesium alloy: the front ones weigh, despite the size, 7.4 kilograms, the rear ones are heavier by a kilogram. At the same time, Bolide was developed taking into account the requirements of the FIA: its equipment includes, for example, a fire extinguishing system.

      • How exactly the company intends to deal with Bolide in the future is still unknown. The Cnet edition suggests that Bugatti will build a track car on its basis for performance in new classes of endurance racing. In addition, Bolide may turn out to be a kind of farewell to the proprietary W16, and the company allegedly plans to equip further models with fundamentally different engines.
