The purpose of this text is to tell you about the minimum set of motorcycle equipment for beginners. On the one hand, the "minimum set" is unambiguously described in clause 2.1.2 of the SDA (General obligations of drivers), which states that when driving a motorcycle, the driver must wear a helmet. And that's all the Rules require. But even one of the former chiefs of the Russian traffic police liked to repeat that you and I have to travel on the roads, and not according to the rules. And on the road, one helmet, perhaps, will not be enough! We suggest assembling a basic kit that is convenient in everyday life, provides an acceptable level of protection and is as inexpensive as possible.

Stage 1: Required minimum
Something without which you can't go on the road at all - neither for traffic rules, nor for minimal safety reasons.
Helmet
We have already talked about how and what kind of motorcycle helmet you should buy - take a closed integral helmet at the price that seems acceptable to you. For example, a budget model made of polycarbonate: something like the Korean HJC CS-15 or the Chinese LS2 model FF320. The former is slightly cheaper, but the latter has an internal sun visor. Both, however, are heavy - about 1.6 kilograms (and even a little more, depending on the size), but you can live. If you check the UK safety ratings on the website, you can see that both of these models received four stars out of five. Good result!

Such a purchase will cost 6000-7000 rubles. Well, maybe 8000 if you choose a pretty color. By the way, it makes sense to overpay a little for it: the helmet should please the owner and be noticeable to other road users. Visibility on the road is generally one of the important safety factors. So consider buying gear in bright colors.
Gloves
Next, you need to choose gloves. Brushes are the first thing that suffers when falling from a motorcycle.
