The Czech company Torsus, founded by immigrants from Ukraine, has presented a new modification of its hardcore off-road bus. This time Praetorian is designed to carry children. It will be able to transport up to 35 schoolchildren on the most difficult roads in the world.

The differences between the school version of the Torsus Praetorian are mainly in the design of the body and interior. Outside, the bus is painted in the traditional yellow color with appropriate inscriptions, and inside it received 35 separate seats with seat belts and armrests.
- The chairs are supposed to be made to order and finished in fabric with themed prints. In addition, shock-resistant polymer coatings will be used in the interior of the school SUV. As optional equipment for the bus, the manufacturer offers, for example, a coffee machine, a central TV screen, a more powerful air conditioner for countries with hot climates, or 10-inch tablets for each seat.
- The 8.5-meter Torsus Praetorian is based on a MAN truck chassis with an all-wheel drive system, a reduction gear and differential locks. The body is made of composites. The bus is powered by a 6.9-liter diesel engine of the same origin, which develops 290 hp. and 1150 Nm of torque. The Praetorian's ground clearance is 340 mm and the ford depth is 700 mm.

Praetorian has a range of other modifications, from a version for transporting goods to a living module for extreme travel enthusiasts. According to AutoExpress, the cost of a basic bus assembly is 166,000 euros (196.5 thousand dollars or 15 million rubles) and, depending on the content, can reach 368,000 euros (435.6 thousand dollars or 33.2 million rubles).
- Last summer, Torsus unveiled a more affordable Terrastorm model based on the Volkswagen Crafter. The two-liter 117-horsepower diesel remains untouched, but the minibus gets full off-road equipment and an exclusive interior.
