Audi has confirmed for the first time that the e-tron GT liftback will have a charged version with traditional RS letters. Such a modification will be able to compete in terms of dynamics not only with the platform-based Taycan, but also with the powerful variants of the TeslModel S.
Audi has already named the upcoming sports car the first all-electric RS model from the Audi Sport division. The technical characteristics of the liftback have not yet been announced.
- The Carscoops publication suggests that, unlike the "civilian" ones, the e-tron modification with the letters RS will receive not two, but three electric motors: the rear wheels of the sports car will rotate two separate units. The combined output of all three engines should reach 700 hp, and acceleration to 100 km / h for such an e-tron will take about 3 seconds.
- If the performance of the production electric car turns out to be like this, it will put the Audi RS e-tron GT on par with the Porsche Taycan Turbo. Its engines are capable of developing up to 680 hp, while the German electric sedan accelerates to a hundred in 3.2 seconds. True, Taikan has an even more powerful Turbo S modification with a 762-horsepower installation.
- As for the TeslModel S, the result of its basic Long Range version is 3.8 seconds, but the next Performance trim level is capable of gaining 100 km / h in 2.5 seconds.
- It is assumed that the range of the Audi RS e-tron GT will be about 400 kilometers, that is, the same as that of the civilian modification. Audi plans to fully declassify the electric novelty next weekend as part of the "24 Hours Spa" race.
