Nissan Crossover Is Cheaper Than 600 Thousand Rubles: A Serial Version Is Presented

Nissan has unveiled the production version of the Magnite ultra-compact crossover, a prototype of which debuted last summer. The novelty was developed specifically for the Indian market, but later it is likely to appear in other countries. Its price can be 530,000 rupees (7200 US dollars or 561 thousand rubles), according to the Indian portal Autocar.

• The serial Magnite outwardly repeats the prototype almost completely, with the exception of slightly redesigned bumpers and grille and simplified graphics of LED optics.
• The length of the crossover does not exceed 4 meters: such compact cars enjoy privileges in India. At the same time, it has 205 mm ground clearance and a trunk volume of 336 liters. You can increase the loading space by folding the back of the rear sofa, which is divided in a 60:40 ratio (the maximum amount of space is not reported).
• The interior received seats with developed lateral support, a three-spoke steering wheel, a free-standing display of the media system and ventilation deflectors in a style reminiscent of the Lamborghini design. Magnite is said to offer the largest front-seat-to-rear seat spacing in its class at 700mm.

• Despite its budgetary status, Magnet turned out to be richly equipped. The crossover will be offered LED optics, a full-fledged media system with an 8-inch touchscreen and wireless integration of smartphones via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, JBL acoustics, a 7-inch digital instrument panel, wireless charging for gadgets, all-round cameras, an air purification system and cruise control.
• Nissan Magnite will have only two engines in India. The atmospheric unit with a volume of 1.0 liters develops 72 hp. and works with a five-speed "mechanics", its turbocharged version will provide 95 hp. and for a surcharge it will be aggregated with a variator.
• Nissan Magnite sales in India will start early next year. In which other countries the crossover will appear has not yet been specified, but in Russia the trade designation Datsun Magnite has already been patented. However, the Datsun brand will leave our country no later than the end of this year.
