In the UK, sales of the Suzuki Jimny in a utility version will start soon. According to Autocar, Suzuki was forced to retrain the compact SUV into a commercial vehicle due to tough eco-standards.

- In mid-summer, sales of the Suzuki Jimny in the UK were phased out as the SUV failed to meet local emission regulations.
- The SUV is back on the market, but with the same powertrain as before. Instead of costly engine upgrades, Suzuki certified the Jimny not as a passenger car, but as a commercial vehicle. It is subject to more humane requirements: the emissions of such machines should not contain a maximum of 95 grams of CO2 per kilometer, and 147.
- The change in official status, however, was reflected in the layout of the Jimny's cabin. The SUV was deprived of the back sofa, the interior was divided by a partition, and a cargo area was organized in the freed space. At the same time, the model retained the all-metal three-door body.

Prices for the Jimny truck in Europe have not yet been announced. In Russia, a compact SUV costs at least 1,639,000 rubles for a passenger version with a 102-horsepower 1.5-liter aspirated engine, 5-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive.
