Motorcyclists Will Be Fined For Driving Between The Rows

State Duma Deputy Svetlana Bessarab proposed introducing a fine for motorcyclists for driving between the rows of cars and dangerous maneuvering. Reported by RIA.

• The bill provides for the introduction of a fine of 3,000 rubles for parallel traffic on motor vehicles in the same lane with other vehicles. If the motorcyclist often rebuilds, showing signs of dangerous driving, then he will be punished for 15,000 rubles or deprived of his driver's license for a period of two to six months.
• They offer to fix the offense with the participation of traffic police officers, as well as with the help of surveillance cameras and video recorders. In the latter case, the punishment in the form of deprivation of rights is not applied - violators will only face a fine.
• According to the author of the initiative, motorcycle drivers are killed in road accidents 30 times more often than motorists. Bessarab notes that motorcyclists are not immune to injury due to the specifics of their vehicles.

• According to the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the four months of the 2019 motorcycle season (from May to August inclusive), 2,908 accidents involving motorcyclists occurred in Russia, in which 313 people died and 3,184 people were injured.
