Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo Electric Crossover Presented: One Battery, Two Motors And High Ground Clearance

Porsche, by analogy with the Panamera, added a station wagon to the electric Taikan family. The model received the Cross Turismo prefix and is positioned as an electric crossover, which is hinted at by increased ground clearance and a protective body kit.

• The main difference from the Taikan sedan is the rear part of the body. The fifth door hides a 1212-liter trunk (with the backs of the second row of seats folded). The cross-wagon turned out to be 11 mm longer than the sedan, by a millimeter wider and 30-31 mm higher.
• The set of driving modes was complemented by the "gravel" one. In it, electric motors and other electronics adapt to "loose" coatings under the wheels. The air suspension raises the body by 30 mm over the sedan's ground clearance (130 mm). Or you can order the Off-Road package - as an option - with a standard ground clearance increased by 30 mm (it also has a compass on the dashboard). Due to the different body kit and silhouette, the drag coefficient of the Taycan Cross Turismo is slightly higher: 0.26–0.27 (depending on the version) versus 0.22–0.25 for the sedan.

• The model will have four modifications. There are no single-engine ones - all are all-wheel drive and with a top-end battery of 93 kWh. The Taycan 4 Cross Turismo is 380 hp. (476 hp with overboost) and 500 Nm, the power reserve is up to 456 kilometers in the WLTP cycle, the maximum speed is 220 km / h, acceleration to hundreds takes 5.1 seconds.

• Next comes the Taycan 4S Cross Turismo with 490 forces (571 hp at afterburner) and 650 Nm of torque, a cruising range of 452 kilometers, a top speed of 240 km / h and acceleration to 100 km / h in 4.1 seconds. … The Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo produces 625 hp. (680 hp with overboost) and 850 Nm, the same 452 kilometers of autonomy, but already 250 km / h top speed and 3.3 seconds to hundreds.
• At the top is the Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo with 625 forces (a short-term increase - up to 761 hp) and 1050 Nm, 419 km, 250 km / h and acceleration to a hundred in 2.9 seconds.
• The calipers of the model are painted black, red, white and yellow as the power of the power plant increases. The 4 and 4S versions have regular discs, the Turbo has tungsten carbide coated brakes, and the Turbo S has carbon ceramic brakes.

• The choice of options does not differ from the sedan. Exclusively for the Taycan Cross Turismo, there are only roof rails and luggage trunks designed for high-speed driving. Some of the functions for Taikan can be purchased later, through the special service Functions on Demand. We are talking about the functionality that was originally included in the car, but which is activated only after payment.
• Russian prices for the new product have not yet been announced. In Germany, the cost starts at 93.6 thousand euros (8.3 million rubles). A Porsche Taycan with a sedan body in Russia costs from 6.78 million rubles, with an all-wheel drive - from 8.04 million.
• In February, Porsche announced another Guinness World Record for the Taycan. He was able to demonstrate a top speed of 165.1 km / h indoors, improving the previous record by 26.7 km / h. This record lasted seven years.
