On the assembly line of AvtoVAZ, employees were seen using an exoskeleton. A video of a worker with unusual equipment was published in the Atypical AVTOVAZ group on VKontakte.

  • The exoskeleton was used to facilitate one of the busiest assembly operations. A "hardened" worker is seen in the wheel setting section of assembly line B0: here you need to manually remove the wheel from the feed chute and place it on the hub. It is assumed that the use of external amplifiers will ease the stress on the worker's muscles.
  • Judging by the offscreen commentary, which is a fragment of the discussion of the exoskeleton, so far we are only talking about demonstrating its capabilities. A commentator (presumably a representative of a company that sells exoskeletons) mentions that negotiations are under way for the wholesale supply of such devices. In this case, the price of demo samples will be 13,800 euros (1.23 million rubles).
  • The users of the page in the comments note that it is this version of the exoskeleton that can really make work easier, but in the future it can turn into serious health problems. The fact is that the video captures a "half" version: the exoskeleton transfers the load removed from the muscles of the arms to the person's lower back, while the legs do not participate in the distribution of the load.

  • The futurist developers have already used the idea of an exoskeleton in the design of cars of the future. For example, the concept supercar Nissan GT-R (X) 2050, presented at the end of December, is considered by its creators to be a harbinger of a new form of transport that people can simply "carry" on themselves.
