Video: Introduced A New System That Allows Vehicles To Avoid Aquaplaning. Video

The Easyrain Solution project, which is being developed, including with the participation of Bosch and ItalDesign, is designed to save motorists from the phenomenon of aquaplaning, which often leads to accidents. To fight the film of water between the asphalt and the wheels is offered at the expense of additional water.
- The idea of the engineers is to put some kind of electronically controlled sprinklers in front of the wheels of the car. Special sensors will detect loss of grip on wet roads, and sprinklers will send high-pressure jets of water in front of the wheels. These jets should destroy the water film, helping the tire tread and ensuring direct contact of the wheels with the coating.

The creators of the system published a video from preliminary tests, comparing the trajectories of cars equipped with sprinklers and without them in an identical situation - a car getting into a puddle while exiting a corner at high speed. According to the developers' calculations, their solution improves the stability of the car by 35% on the straight line and by 30% - in the corners.

The developers indicate that their system can be used on any type of transport, from a conventional hatchback to a drone. However, the prospects for the serial application of such a solution have not yet been announced.
- Tesla is also thinking about fighting the effects of rain. The company is going to equip the production version of the Roadster supercar with an innovative wiper that can remove water from almost 100% of the windshield area.
