A video has appeared on the official YouTube channel of KamAZ, showing some details of the tests of the compact electric car Kama-1. The video, which is called the "teaser for the full review from the developers", showed the operation of the driver's interface.

  • The official debut of Kama-1 took place in December at the VuzPromExpo exhibition. At the same time, an electric car interior was presented, which was devoid of the traditional instrument panel and media system screen - instead of the usual front panel, the Kamu-1 was equipped with a kind of shelf. The only monitor used in the interior is mounted in the steering wheel hub.
  • As demonstrated in the new video, the Kama-1's hub is fixed (a similar solution was used, for example, on one of the Citroen C4 generations). Accordingly, during the rotation of the steering wheel, the touchscreen remains static and does not change its position. This will allow the driver not only to correctly read the instrument readings, but also, if necessary, control additional functions while taxiing.
  • The rear-wheel drive character of the compact hatch is also noticeable in the video: in one of the episodes, the Kama-1 does a snow drift.
  • The promising hatch, which the creators call "the first Russian electric passenger car", is equipped with one 80-kilowatt motor on the rear axle. It allows the three-door to accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds. The projected power reserve is up to 300 kilometers. The serial version of an electric vehicle in the basic configuration can cost 1.2 million rubles on the Russian market, subject to mass production.
