Video: McLaren Artura revealed - launch of all new hybrid supercar 2023, December
Anonim

McLaren has published a video teaser on social networks dedicated to the upcoming premiere of the brand new Artur supercar - it is scheduled for February 17. Edition Auto Express, running the screenshots of the teaser through a graphics editor, declares that the design of the supercar is waiting for only evolutionary changes.

  • Lightening the image reveals that Artur will generally retain the same silhouette as the McLaren 570S, which it replaces. The current and new supercars share a similar front end, roofline and rear wheel arches.
  • Nevertheless, McLaren plans to dilute the usual style with a number of unusual features borrowed for the "budget" coupe from older models. According to the publication, Artur will receive optics in the style of the McLaren Speedtail hypercar, and the rear design will resemble the 720S.

  • The McLaren Artur, designed from the ground up, is based on an all-new carbon monocoque “bathtub” and will be a hybrid from the outset: a new power plant based on a petrol V6 has been announced for it. The company claims that it will be comparable in performance to an eight-cylinder internal combustion engine, while delivering improved responsiveness, flexibility and fuel economy. The current McLaren 570S is powered by a 3.8-liter V8 with 565 hp. and is capable of accelerating to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds.

  • Overall, McLaren's lineup should include up to 18 hybrid sports cars by 2025.
  • At the end of last year, it became known about the intention of the British company to remain a manufacturer of exclusively sports cars. McLaren is faithful to the original concept and is not going to develop the now fashionable crossovers.
