New Renault Sandero Stepway With Dacia Logo Patented In Russia

In the open base of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property, a patent for a new generation of Sandero Stepway body design appeared. Renault is listed as the copyright holder, but the car depicted in the patent is definitely a Dacia brand. According to Drom, the production of new items in Togliatti will start in 2022.

• The radiator grille of the cross-hatch, the sketches of which are included in the patent, bears a characteristic triangle located in the center - on production cars in this place is the logo of the Romanian brand Dacia, under which the model is sold in European markets.
• If Renault and AvtoVAZ decide to localize the production of the new generation of Logan and Sandero in Russia, most likely this part will be reworked. In our country, new items, like the models of the previous generation, will appear under the Renault brand.
• Until 2022, Togliatti should modify the new Logan and Sandero for the local motor range. In Europe, the models are equipped with modern three-cylinder engines with a capacity of 65 to 100 hp, but in Russia, according to the publication, they will receive other engines - perhaps the well-known naturally aspirated 1.6-liter engine in different recoil options.

• Renault presented the new generation of the Logan / Sandero line in September. The models received a modified appearance, a different interior and a new platform - CMF-B, to which the entire model range of the Lada brand is planned to be transferred by the middle of the decade.
