Introduced "charged" Mazda3: 231 Power And Four-wheel Drive

The premiere of the most powerful version of the Mazda3, equipped with a 2.5-liter turbo engine, took place in Mexico. This is where this car will be sold.

• It was not possible to find a special sensation in the hatchback engine compartment: the same 2.5-liter supercharged SKYACTIV-G Turbo, producing 231 hp, is installed there. and 420 Nm of torque, as on the familiar in Russia modifications of the Mazda6 sedan and the CX-9 crossover. Therefore, the data on the successor to the MPS version should be considered unconfirmed for now.
• This version is intended for the Mexican market and is equipped exclusively with a 6-speed automatic transmission. There will be no manual transmission on the 231-horsepower Mazda3. The drive is full, based on a multi-plate clutch.
• Equipment includes LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, a power sunroof and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.

• The "charged" version of the car will go on sale in the Mexican market on July 20 and will be offered in two trim levels - Grand Touring and Signature. Prices start at 489,900 pesos, which in terms of rubles at the current exchange rate is about 1,533,700.
• The Mazda3 MPS hot hatch was introduced in 2006 and was produced until 2013. The car was equipped with an MZR 2.3 DISI Turbo engine, which produced 260 hp. and 380 Nm of torque.
